As you know, it is time for state testing in grades 3-5. Your child has prepared ALL year for these tests and it is their time to SHINE! Please help your child showcase what they have learned this year by:
Making sure they get a good night's sleep
Eat a good breakfast (fruits, eggs, and protein are good brain foods)
Make sure your student attends school each day unless they are sick
Having student(s) to school on time (no later than 7:45)
No early dismissals or scheduled appointments on testing days
Have a positive, morning routine
Be encouraging, cheer them on!
All tests are online and students have practiced this type of assessment. The schedule for testing is listed below.

Students are not permitted to be in possession of any electronic devices during testing which includes having a cell phone, smartwatch, PDA, playback device, earbuds or headphones, etc. If these items are brought to school during testing days, they will be collected by the teacher and returned to the student or parent after testing. If students are in possession of any electronic devices after the test administrator has collected items, there will be consequences to include, but not limited to, suspension of a minimum of 3 days, etc. We have many fun activities planned after testing and if students are absent or late during testing, they may be required to miss scheduled fun activities such as field day and other celebrations as makeups are required by the state department.
Please contact your child’s teacher or the office if you have any questions. The parent brochure is being sent home with your child and is located at https://ed.sc.gov/tests/assessment-information/student-and-parent-resources/.Thank you for your continued support and encouragement!
